David Scheckel is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn.
Professionally, he's a multimedia producer, researcher, and administrative assistant at the American Social History Project, a labor history research center at the CUNY Graduate Center.
Outside of work, David is always working on short documentary or narrative films, including a forthcoming project as a member of Union Docs' 2026 Collaborative Studio Co-hort.
He's also filmed and edited social media content for: stand-up comedians, improv performers, sketch comedy groups, musicians, chess tournaments, hot dog eating contests, and more.
